I will never use corn starch again in my life. I was a failure who ruined what would’ve been a perfectly decent noodle with fucking corn starch. This bland watery taste along with the texture and the way the goo coated my mouth made me gag. It tasted like what I’d imagine the pink Suffolk County charter school food paste from Fallout 4 would taste like. I immediately turned off the heat and tried to scrape all of the pasta out and away from the goo, but it didn’t work, it was completely coated. The entire pan became coated in this ghastly, pale-orange Teletubbies slime which glimmered under my range hood. ![]() I let it simmer, stirred it, waited another minute, and stirred it again. ![]() I dump some in, about two tablespoons, thinking nothing would happen. Then I had this great idea to thicken up the sauce with corn starch, which I haven’t cooked with in at least 2 years. So I combined the two and let it simmer, leaving some of the pasta water behind. Everything was going well, noodles were nicely done, sauce tasted great. I wanted lunch and didn’t feel like going out despite having nothing in the house so I decided to make vermicelli with a spicy Thai peanut sauce. ![]() What was the worst thing you’ve ever cooked Anonymous Fri Jan 15 14:30:56 2021 No.15403837
